Canary Wharf underground or docklands light railway (DLR) station is a two minute walk from the hotel with connections to central London, the 'city' (financial district) and throughout the Docklands area.
Or use the river to get into the west end. The pier close to the hotel offers several river boat services along the Thames and into central london. The same views as the tourist boats but much cheaper and without the annoying commentary.
