Join in the birthday celebrations for Charles Darwin at the Natural History Museum on Saturday 12 February 2005.
There is an interactive introduction to Darwinian theory and a panel discussion on its impact on both science and culture - timely given the current resurgence of creationist teaching - to celebrate the anniversary of Darwin's birth.
You can also hear a short talk about the recent discovery of the Indonesian 'hobbit', the increasing synthesis between science and genetics and the real reason why the leopard got his spots.
Natural History Museum, Darwin Centre, Cromwell Road, SW7 (telephone: 020 7942 5000). The event is on Saturday 12 February from 12:00 - 17:00 and is free.
In case you are wondering, Darwin was born 12/02/1809 and he would have been 196 this year. For more information on the natural history museum click on the link.
