London underground passengers may face the misery of a tube strike over Christmas and New Year.
Militant unions are planning a series of stoppages beginning with Christmas Eve. The two main unions, the RMT and Aslef, are involved in four separate disputes on a series of dates, including 24 December and even on New Year's Eve.
Aslef, the train drivers' union, will be announcing the two ballots calling for strike action on the Piccadilly and District lines.
Aslef London district secretary, Steve Grant says "I am confident that in each ballot there will be an overwhelming majority supporting the call for action."
I suppose it's one way to ensure that Londoners have Christmas and New Years eve with their families.
