Opera and Jazz at the Tower of London

Brand new this year, the Tower of London is to host a music festival. The festival will feature 11 nights of opera and jazz between the 6th and 16th of July.

Fittingly for a building said to be haunted by the ghost of Anne Boleyn, the festival opens with Donizetti's opera Anna Bolena (Hannah Francis takes the title role). Next comes the first of six jazz nights, with Amy Winehouse and Kyle Eastwood topping the bill.

The festival takes place in the Moat, with the floodlit tower making a spectacular backdrop. Tickets are from £35 - £75 via 0870 895 5666 or online at www.towermusicfestival.com.
