London's top 10 films this week

24.06.05

London's top 10 films (by revenue generated) for this week are:

1. Mr & Mrs Smith (15) - up 7
2. Sin City (18) - down 1
3. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (15) - down 1
4. The Consequences of Love (15) - down 1
5. The League of Gentleman's Apocalypse (15) - down 1
6. Kings & Queen (15) - up 2
7. Batman Begins (12A) - new
8. Parineeta (12A) - new
9. Bombon - El Perro (15) - new
10. Kingdom of Heaven (15) - down 5

Falling out of the top 10 this week
The Pacifier (PG) - last weeks 6
Monster-in-Law (12A) - last weeks 7
House of Wax (15) - last weeks 10

You didn't do it for me. As I told you 3 weeks ago, we had an office sweepstake on how long Vin Diesel's The Pacifier would stay in the chart. I needed it to still be in this weeks chart, and asked you to go and watch it. You didn't and it dropped out of the top 10 (to 12). Still, can't say I really blame you.

Last week Sin City jumped up 7 to take the top spot. This week Mr & Mrs Smith jumped 7 to do the same. Last weeks 1 - 4 all moved down 1 place to accommodate it.

This weeks big new entry was Batman Begins. Expect Mr & Mrs Pitt's effort not to stay at the top too long. Even with all of the hype surrounding what is not a very good movie.

Parineeta and Bombon - El Perro also entered the chart, with Monster-in-Law heading for the DVD chart toot sweet. We Don't Live Here Anymore almost made the top 10, and should be in it next week.
